Meet the Doctors – Isom Endodontics
Dr. Terry Isom, DMD
Endodontist
Dr. Isom was born in a small town in southern Utah, and grew up in several communities in the southwest.
He started his education at Brigham Young University attending for a year before serving for two years as a missionary in northern France. He still speaks French fluently. He returned to BYU to complete his undergraduate education. After having been accepted at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon he received his doctorate in 1986.
He entered into military service and served for four years as an army dental officer. Three of those years he was stationed in central Germany and one year at Ft. Ord near Monterey, California.
His next stop was back in Portland for specialty training in endodontics. He graduated in 1993 and has served the greater Portland area since then. He works hard to continue his education and keeps up on the latest research and treatment options so that his patients receive the highest quality of care.
He has 7 children and a growing number of grandchildren. He and his lovely wife, Jennifer, reside in Oregon City. His interests include astronomy, baseball, golf and reading.
Dr. Victor Mancuso Jr., DDS, MS
Endodontist
Dr. Mancuso received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1989. Dr. Vic started his career as a dental officer in the United States Navy.
After his tour, Dr. Vic attended Northwestern University in Chicago and earned a specialty certificate in endodontics. After graduation, he returned to the Bay Area and had a successful private practice in Los Gatos, California.
In 2016, Dr. Vic moved to the Pacific Northwest and has practiced Endodontics in the Portland area ever since. He now calls the Pacific Northwest his home.
His interests include, travel, the outdoors, and spending time with loved-ones, sharing a meal.
Dr. Joon Koh DMD, MS
Endodontist
Dr. Joon Koh is originally from Augusta, Georgia. He attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he graduated with highest honors with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, graduating with Distinction in Research.
After dental school, Dr. Joon practiced general dentistry in the Atlanta area for five years before pursuing specialty training in endodontics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. There, he earned his Certificate in Endodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry. During his residency, his research focused on materials and technologies used to improve endodontic treatment.
Dr. Joon is passionate about giving back to the community and providing compassionate care to patients from all backgrounds. He has volunteered for more than 14 years at the Ben Massell Dental Clinic in Atlanta, which provides free dental care to those in need, and continues his involvement in dental education as adjunct clinical faculty at the Dental College of Georgia. Dr. Joon is also fluent in Korean and has clinical proficiency in Spanish. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, and Oregon Dental Association.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Joon enjoys traveling, fishing, gaming, cooking, and exploring to fall in love with the beautiful Pacific Northwest, which he now calls home with his goldendoodle and rescue cat.
