Signs to look for include general pain, prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold, tenderness to touch and chewing and discoloration of the tooth. Additionally swelling, drainage and tenderness in the area as well as nearby bone and gingival tissues.
Sometimes, however, there are no symptoms and the treatment may be recommended due to a concern found by your primary dentist.
